Editing Song TitlesYou may wish to do this if like me you have replaced the default music and inserted your own songs, then for consistency you would want to see the correct text displayed in the BGM playback menu if you just wanted to listen to your songs. I would like to extend my thanks to Ru86 from Evo-Web, whom helped myself when I was learning hex-editing and understanding how to change the default ingame song titles. Make sure you have the following utility which should be readily available via the Internet:

Amending song title names using Hex Workshop1. Before we begin, ALWAYS backup the default PES2008.exe incase you make an error and it corrupts the file you are editing. Start the Hex Workshop Program, it should look like this.
2. Click File > Open... and open your PES2008.exe file located in your default PES 2008 directory.
3. You now need to find the default song titles which are located in the exe file. To do this click on Edit > Find (or you can use the Ctrl+F hotkey). Make sure you select the type as 'Text String', click 'Find All Instances' and click 'Match Case', similar to below.
4. Now use my default music list (found here) to find one of the default song titles you wish to change. For the purpose of this tutorial I will change the song named 'Dream Team'. Type it in the Value box and hit OK. It should show a screen similar to below.
5. As shown above, click on the section where it shows how many instances of the search criteria were found and it will jump to word string in question. It highlights by default the text string in yellow. Now its simply a case of moving the cursor over the 1st letter of 'Dream Team' on the right hand pane and changing it with your new song title. In this example I changed it to '3 Lions'. PLEASE NOTE You cannot put in a song title which is larger than the combined length of the current song title plus its genre name. If you try to do this, it will corrupt the PES2008.exe file and you will be unable to load the game. Hence try to abbreviate the song title if it is long. In my example above, the actual song is called 'Footballs coming home, but I used 3 Lions as I know which song it is from that. So use your judgement when choosing song title names.
6. Change any other song titles you wish using the same method explained above and then save the PES2008.exe file. Click yes if a similar message appears like below.
7. Load the game as normal. You new song titles will appear in the Playlist Editor menu and whenever the song it played!
