Create Replay MoviesWe all like to relive some of the memorable moments of PES and what better way to relive them than to make a movie of some of our spectacular goals or incidents. Making a movie from a saved replay is not too difficult, all you need to do is set a few preliminaries in place and then follow the tutorial below and before you know it, you will have the finished article. Few simple steps to undertake first:
The reason for these steps are you will first record an uncompressed movie using Taksi from your saved replay. Then via VirtualDub and with the aid of DivX codec you will create an avi movie which will be a fraction of the size as the original.
Creating an avi movie from your PES 2008 replayBefore you begin, make sure you have a saved replay, ready for converting into an avi movie. 1. Open Taksi.
2. Make sure you set the configuration similar to above noting the following:
3. Once all set click Save and Apply. 4. Leave Taksi open in background and open the game as normal. If done correctly you will see a green square in top left corner. If you don't see it initially press hook mode (F6) or try reloading the game. It should work.
5. Go to your replay start playing it. 6. Press F11 to start recording. The green square colour should change red, which means it has begun recording. The replay will also run slower than usual but don't worry as this is normal.
7. Press F11 again when you want to finish recording. The red square on top left will revert back to green. 8. Exit the game. 9. Open VirtualDub. 10. Select File > Open Video File. Go to where the movie file that was saved on your computer and open it.
11. Select Video > Compression. The select video compression dialog appears.
12. If you have the DivX codec installed correctly it will appear on the list. Highlight it. 13. Click Configure. The DivX codec properties dialog appears.
14. In the General tab you only need to change one thing, make sure in the Encode Performance section you have selected slow from the drop down menu since this gives the highest video quality with the greatest compression. The only down side is slower encoding but this isn't that slow in my opinion. 15. Click the Video tab. Here you can enable video resize if you require, but note if you increase the video size, you will lose picture quality. Much like the way when you increase photos, they become pixilated. I just wanted to add this step incase you wanted to increase the video size.
16. When all changes are made, click OK twice to return to the main VirtualDub screen. 17. You can play the movie by pressing the play button along the bottom. This gives you a preview of the movie speed and length. 18. If you need to speed up or slow down the movie, you can do so. Select Video > Frame Rate. The Video frame rate control dialog appears. Here you can change the default frame rate of 25 if required.
19. When all changes made click OK. 20. Select File > Save as AVI. Name your video. 21. Click Save. You will see the video being encoded now. a VirtualDub Status dialog appears.Wait patiently for it to complete encoding the movie file.
That's it. Now you have successfully converted your saved replay into an avi file, just browse to where you saved your file and you can view it. I hope you enjoy making movies of your memorable PES 2008 moments Back to top |
